There are three fungal diseases that affect honey bees, Nosema (apis and ceranae), which become apparent in adult bees and Chalkbrood and Stonebrood that present in larvae.

Nosema spp are microsporidians, small, unicellular parasites recently reclassified as a fungus that mainly affects honey bees.
